EXHIBITION PREVIEW DAY
Saturday 6th June 2026 from 10:30am to 6:00pm
In A Field Study, Rowan Collinson documents a single field close to her home over the course of a year. Rooted in close observation and a deep personal connection to place, the work resists spectacle in favour of intimacy. Subtle shifts in light, weather, growth and decay reveal the field not as a fixed landscape but as a living, temporal space shaped by time and changing ecologies.
The series explores the relationship between landscape and photography, bringing together digital and sustainable alternative analogue processes. Site-specific natural resources from the field and surrounding hedgerows are central to the production of the work, and this collaboration between subject and process tangibly connects the land to the images and the images to the land.
The photographs invite viewers to slow down and notice the rhythms of the natural world. Presented together, they form a visual cycle - one that reflects both the constancy of the land and the fleeting moments that define it.
